10deep Basement Special tee

Back in the late 70’s the only way many Jamaicans could hear the latest hits were at open air venues, played by their favorite local sound system. Often older rhythms from the late 1960’s were recycled, with Sugar Minott credited with starting this trend when he voiced new lyrics over old Studio One rhythms. Old toasters gave way to DJ stars like U-Roy, Clint Eastwood and Lone Ranger.
